government boiler scrappage scheme
The governments boiler scrappage scheme was
introduced on the 8th of January 2010 - with a proposed £50million
budget. This follows on from the hugely popular car scrappage
scheme, which is due to come to an end in February 2010. To coincide
with the governments launch of this new rebate scheme - we
(i-Entrepreneur Ltd) were tasked to create a web portal that
provides all of the information required to participate in the
forthcoming government boiler scrappage scheme.
Although there was a lot of speculation (& criticism) in December 2009 - after the government announced plans for the new scheme, there wasn't that much "publicly-available" information.
However, without further a-do - we got on with the job-in-hand (which by the way - involved working throughout Christmas & the New Year), and on top of all that - we even managed to secure (by way of purchase!) two appropriately named "domains" for the new project.
Government Boiler scrappage scheme
Within just 3 weeks, we were ready to launch the
new website....
Both domains were secured during the process, aptly named (the same)
- with the tld extensions of .org and .co.uk. On this
occasion - there was no need to secure the .com, or any other
tld for that matter, as the scheme is only available to those who
qualify within England. The name, well... it does exactly what it
says on the jar actually - it's only the
government-boiler-scrappage-scheme.co.uk
(eh, what do you think of that then....is that the dogs-danglies -
or what..?)
“338,919 hits - in just one month”
Considering we have NO paid-for links pointing (referring) visitors to our most recently launched project (the government-boiler-scrappage-scheme.co.uk), we have been fortunate enough to have received over 338,900 hits on the website since it went live on the 5th of January 2010. These figures are taken from our server statistics which (for this exercise) cover the dates from actually going live on the 5th of January 2010 - right up to the 30th day on the 4th of February 2010.
